Be in the moment!

A lot of people that I work with are often worrying about things that may happen in the future.  In a sense that is what anxiety is – predicting something that has yet to happen.  However with the festive season upon us and coming to the end of 2010 I would suggest that you take time and be aware of what is happening now in your life.  Be mindful of the here and now, as often, we can get so caught up in our thoughts and worries that we miss what is going on around us – the fleeting smile of someone, the glancing touch or unspoken words in another person’s eyes.

Children set a great example of living in the present and enjoying the moment.  So maybe until the end of the year really notice what is going on around you in your life and savour every moment.  Have a great Christmas!+
